Pierce County braces for Roaches as mother, son put hats in the ring

Dan Roach announced Thursday that he is running for Pierce County executive, on the heels of declaration by his mother, state Sen. Pam Roach, R-31, that she has moved into the county and will run for the Pierce County Council. The younger Roach already chairs the Pierce County Council. As with his mother, the Legislature’s most contentious member, he is not up for reelection in 2016 so has a bye to pursue another office.
