Over 100 missing, 14 dead as strong quake rattles Taiwan

A powerful, shallow earthquake struck southern Taiwan before dawn Saturday. Rescuers scrambled with ladders, cranes and other equipment to free people from two towers that folded like an accordion in a pile of rubble and twisted metal.
