NASA captures an exploding star's brief scream or 'shock breakout' for first time

Our sun will die. Yep. In another seven billion years or so, kaput. But, it will not die in the spectacular fashion scientists spotted when combing through data gleaned from the heavens by NASA's Kepler space telescope.
