Learn these eclipse terms now before everyone starts using them

With the total eclipse of the sun over a swath of the United States, a "Path of Totality" stretching from coast to coast, destined to make heliophysicists of us all, we thought we'd cover the basics of "eclipse talk" to help make sense of this celestial event. After all, it's been 99 years since the last total eclipse darkened the continental U.S., so many of these terms and phrases might not be top of mind.
