Hope for cure accompanies firefighters’ climb up tower

Nearly 2,000 firefighters from 26 states and five countries, dressed in at least 50 pounds of “turnout gear,” climbed 69 flight of steps in Columbia Center in downtown Seattle on Sunday, raising $1.96 million.
