Fircrest, last ‘dry’ town left in state, is voting on booze

A holdover from earlier times, the Pierce County community still prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages by the glass. Drinks are served, however, a couple of blocks away in Tacoma. A proposition to change that is on the Nov. 3 ballot.
