Exploding craters, gateway to underworld: What's not to like about global warming?

The land in Alaska, Canada and Siberia is changing significantly with a warmer climate because of the collapse of permafrost. It's not happening everywhere, yet, and the permafrost in many areas will last for millennia. But certainly some of it won't, and that's causing some significant changes in the landscape.
