EmCare ‘ambushing’ patients with surprise ER bills, study says

A study released Monday found that the rate of out-of-network doctor’s bills for customers of one large insurer jumped when EmCare, one of the nation’s largest emergency-rooms physician-staffing companies, entered a hospital.
