Catastrophic climate change all but unavoidable; now what?

Seattle is suffering through its worst heat wave of the year, but according to a recent University of Washington study, hotter and hotter temperatures -- and their deadly outcomes -- are all but unavoidable. That doesn't mean we shouldn't take steps to try and slow down the rising thermometer.
