Age of brightest spot on dwarf planet Ceres determined, explaining a lot
Researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research have used the latest round of images and other data from Dawn to determine that the bright dome, officially named Cerealia Facula, is only about 4 million years old. That's some 30 million years younger than the crater itself. And that tells them a lot.
