Floodwaters close Minnesota roads while snowstorm hits North Dakota

Flood warnings were in effect for southern Dakota, all of Goodhue and eastern Rice counties just south of the metro area. Several state highways were closed in southern Minnesota. No travel is advised in northwestern Minnesota where a blizzard is creating whiteout conditions.
