UC Davis Researcher Killed By Protesters Throwing Stones In Ethiopia

DAVIS (CBS13) – A UC Davis researcher was killed Wednesday in Ethiopia when the vehicle she was riding in was stoned by protesters.
Sharon Gray, 31, was a postdoctoral researcher in the university’s plant biology department.
The university says she was in Ethiopia to attend a meeting. Protesters reportedly hurled stones at the car Gray was riding in. Another staff member was traveling with her but was not hurt.
