Tanker At Facility In Tracy Catches Fire

TRACY (CBS13) – Crews are responding to a hazardous material incident in the Tracy area after an experiment apparently went wrong.
The incident happened at SRI International. Alameda County Fire says they received a call at 7:18 p.m. about a Hazmat situation at the facility in Tracy. An experiment involving Divinylbenzene was taking place when something went wrong and the tanker it was in caught fire, Alameda County Fire says.
From there, the hillside also caught fire.
