Sutter County Serial Killer Juan Corona Denied Appeal

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – California officials say the man once known as the nation’s worst serial killer has been denied parole again for more than two-dozen murders 45 years ago.
Corrections department spokesman Luis Patino said Thursday that 82-year-old Juan Vallejo Corona was denied parole on Wednesday for another five years.
Corona was convicted of killing and mutilating 25 farmworkers north of Sacramento.
Corona was a farm labor contractor with a history of mental illness.
