Sacramento State Grad Ryan Coogler to direct Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’

LOS ANGELES (AP) —Sacramento State graduate Ryan Coogler is set to direct Marvel and Disney’s “Black Panther” movie, the studio announced on Monday.
There was much speculation surrounding who would take on the directing job. “Selma” director Ava DuVernay passed on the film earlier this year. Coogler was another favorite choice among fans.
