Rain And Snow Showers Possible In Mountains

SODA SPRINGS (CBS13) – We were just talking about temperatures in the 90s earlier in the week, but a serious cooldown is expected over the weekend.
The National Weather Service says a system from the Gulf of Alaska is responsible for bringing in the cooler air. Showers and thunderstorms could roll through the Sacramento Valley and foothills through the weekend.
A mix of rain and snow is expected in the mountains, but NWS says accumulations on the main Sierra passes could be minimal.
