Placer County Deputies Shoot Suspect In Loomis

LOOMIS (CBS13) – A suspect was shot following an exchange of gunfire with Placer County Sheriff’s Department deputies Monday morning.
The shooting happened around 9:20 a.m. at a shopping center in the 6100 block of Horseshoe Bar Road in Loomis that also houses a sheriff’s department substation. The suspect reportedly shot at deputies who then returned fire, hitting the suspect, according to a sheriff’s department spokesperson.
