Pit Bull In Deadly Stockton Attack Undergoing Rabies Tests

STOCKTON (CBS13) — A pit bull that was shot and killed by San Joaquin County deputies this weekend after a deadly attack is now being tested for rabies.
Deputies say the pit bull mauled 43-year-old Earl Wayne Stephens to death Saturday afternoon on North Gertrude Avenue.
The two remaining pit bull puppies from the home are now at the animal shelter in Stockton.
Animal control has quarantined the puppies as deputies continue to investigate the mauling.
