Pipe Bomb Found On American River Trail Behind Cal Expo

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The latest on a suspicious device along the American River Parkway Trail:
2:30 p.m.
Police confirm the device found was a plastic pipe bomb which appeared to have already been set off. A bomb squad used a robot to detonate the pipe again.
Investigators aren’t sure what the magnitude of the damage would have been if the pipe bomb exploded.
