MLS Owners Approve 4 Team Expansion Plan, Improving Sacramento’s Chances

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Sacramento is one big step closer to earning a Major League Soccer franchise.
Saturday, MLS owners approved expanding the number of franchises to 28 – adding possibly four new teams.
This past week week, Sacramento City Council approved a term sheet for an MLS stadium in the old Railyards location.
