I-80 construction expected to create widespread delays

Beginning at 6 p.m., Caltrans and the California Highway Patrol will reduce westbound Interstate 80 traffic to one-lane over a 3 1/2-mile stretch from Truxel Road to the Sacramento River for the weekend as part of the 5-year old, $133 million Across the Top construction project.
