Gov. Brown, Lawmakers Announce Plan To Reform Utility Regulator

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – Gov. Jerry Brown has reached a deal with lawmakers on proposed legislation to improve transparency and make other reforms at the embattled California Public Utilities Commission.
The proposed changes announced Monday would scale back the CPUC’s authority and require more public disclosure and participation in its proceedings.
