Erik Maness To Be Named Sacramento County Undersheriff

DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO — Erik Maness, a chief deputy for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, will be sworn in as undersheriff in the Board of Supervisors’ Chamber on Thursday, March 10.
Maness, who has worked for the Sheriff’s Department for more than 25 years in various roles, will be the first African American to hold the position of undersheriff. The promotion ceremony starts at 1:00 p.m.
