Driver Nearly Impaled In Elk Grove Crash

ELK GROVE (CBS13) — A driver narrowly avoided death after a crash that sent a wood beam through his windshield and inches from his face.
The accident happened around 2 a.m. on Thursday morning on Wrangler Drive near Grant Line Road in Elk Grove.
The driver was not seriously injured in the crash that could have been much worse. He has been taken into custody.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
