Crashes Cause Major Delays On Highway 99

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Two crashes are affecting traffic on southbound Highway 99 in the Sacramento area.
A three-vehicle accident has blocked southbound Highway 99 and is causing a miles-long backup during rush hour traffic.The crash happened in the 4 p.m. hour south of Eschinger Road in Elk Grove and involves a jackknifed big, a taxi and a tow truck, according to a Consumnes Fire Department statement. One person suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was taken to the hospital.
