Covered and Kept Ministries Prepares for First “Benefit Dinner”

SACRAMENTO — On March 25, 2006, Karen R. Gardner’s husband Jon Johnson was murdered in front of her as she sat in their car right outside a restaurant in Elk Grove. She lived, but of course, the tragedy completely changed her life.
Now Ms. Gardner has resurfaced with a ministry to help others who have had similar experiences as well as certain sufferings that keep people from regaining faith of their mental wellbeing. She is focused on healing hearts.
