Construction workers are leaving the Sacramento area; here’s why

Sacramento and its surrounding counties are facing a significant hurdle when it comes to construction. There aren't enough people in the region trained in construction trades. Plus, people who are trained are leaving to work elsewhere. According to a nonprofit group, six counties, including Sacramento, face a deficit of 7,000 workers each year over the next five years.
