California Lottery Computer Glitch Shuts Down Everything But Scratchers At Some Stores

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – It’s an unlucky day for the California Lottery.
A computer glitch on Monday shut down lottery terminals around the state, preventing gamblers from getting numbers for Powerball and other games. Only the scratch-off tickets were still being sold.
Lottery spokesman Alex Traverso says there was a loss of signal that prevented the terminals from connecting to the system that generates the numbers.
