Blood donations drop as flu cases increase in California

New numbers show nearly 100 people under the age of 65 have died from the flu California and health experts warn this season is far from over. The department of public health is reporting 23 flu-related deaths last week alone. That brings the total number of flu related deaths this season to 97. The flu has even affected blood banks and the amount of supply on hand. The Red Cross said donors are greatly needed because supplies are low.
