4 Bear Break-Ins Reported In 2 Days In Lake Tahoe

PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) — Authorities are warning residents and visitors that bears around Lake Tahoe are getting bolder.
The Placer County Sheriff’s Office says there were four bear break-ins in two days at homes on Tahoe’s west shore recently.
In each case, the bears got in through the front doors using enough force to break the door jambs.
Residents and visitors are being urged to store food properly – even inside their own homes.
