Parts of NC Hwy. 12 on Outer Banks closed due to dangerous weather; ferry services suspended

The N.C. Department of Transportation was scheduled to close part of N.C. 12 starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, due to the storm that is creating dangerous travel conditions. Ferry service has also been suspended for several routes due to the storm.
