Highway Patrol: Trooper shoots, kills man during crash investigation in Caldwell County

According to Highway Patrol, the trooper, William Miller, was sent to a crash around 4:21 p.m. on Grace Chapel Road in Granite Falls. On the way, Miller was told by first responders at the scene that a man, later identified as 48-year-old Scott Patrick Seagle, was armed with a handgun.
