West Mifflin says in lawsuit it is owed $800,000 for educating Duquesne students

After nearly three years of discussions and negotiations aimed at staving off litigation, directors in the West Mifflin Area School District said this week they had no choice but to file a lawsuit against the state Education Department and the Duquesne City School District to recoup the more than $800,000 it believes it is owed for educating students from financially distressed Duquesne.
