Underage drinking citation rates keep falling

Citations for underage drinking have plummeted across the state over the last five years, declining almost 50% from 26,201 in 2011 to 14,473 last year, according to data released by the Administrative Office of the Pennsylvania Courts. Nearly every county has seen continuous year-over-year declines in these citations, which apply to minors caught consuming, transporting, purchasing, or attempting to purchase alcohol, but not DUI offenses.
