Turnpike makes changes after snowstorm stranded motorists in January

Conditions on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in January were frightening: nearly 500 vehicles stranded westbound between Bedford and Somerset and unable to move for more than 24 hours after more than 36 inches of snow fell unexpectedly.
