Transformer Explosion Causes Power Outages In Penn Hills

PENN HILLS (KDKA) — Hundreds of people are without power in Penn Hills tonight due to a transformer explosion.
Around 7 p.m., more than 600 customers were in the dark.
According to Duquesne Light, crews are working now to restore electricity to everyone, but that is now expected until around 11:30 p.m.
Many of the outages were reported along Verona Road.
