The story behind Monroeville’s split political identity

On certain measures, Monroeville represents a solidly blue block of voters. In last year’s presidential election, the east Pittsburgh suburb voted for Hillary Clinton by a 52-44 percent margin over Donald Trump. Its mayor and seven ward leaders are all Democrats.
