(CBS Detroit) — The third stimulus check began arriving in bank accounts over a week ago. And, as of last Wednesday, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) had officially delivered 90 million payments valued at $242 billion. Another 150,000 checks valued at $442 million went out by mail. The latest batch of payments started processing last Friday, with Wednesday, March 24 as the official pay date. A large number of additional payments will be mailed as well.
