Southbound I-279 Temporarily Shut Down Due To Vehicle Fire

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A vehicle fire forced the closure of southbound I-279 during rush hour traffic.
PennDOT says the Parkway North between the the I-79/I-279 split and the Camp Horne Road exit was closed.

First responders were on the scene, PennDOT said. Drivers were urged to take a different route.
There is no word on injuries at this time.
