Single-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Armstrong Tunnel

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A one-vehicle crash shut down the Armstrong Tunnel this morning while officials investigated the incident.
According to emergency officials, the crash happened on the inbound side of the tunnel around 9:45 a.m.

The tunnel had to be shut down in both directions and accident investigators were called to the scene.
Duquesne Light crews were also called in because an electrical box was damaged inside the tunnel.
