Shooting Prompts Lockdown At Clairton City School District

CLAIRTON (KDKA) — An early-morning shooting prompted a lockdown at the nearby Clairton City High School.
The shooting happened around 7:30 a.m. in the 700-block of Warrington Avenue near a Dollar General store.

According to emergency dispatchers, the victim was shot in the back and a male suspect was reportedly spotted running from the scene.
Following the incident, the school lockdown was put in place by Clairton Police and school officials as a precaution.
