Recall: Birth Control Pills With Flawed Instructions Could Cause ‘Unintended Pregnancy’

TITUSVILLE, NJ (CBS Local) — Janssen Pharmaceuticals is voluntarily recalling three lots of a popular birth control pill due to a packaging error that could cause “unintended pregnancy.”
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says the incorrect instructions can cause a consumer to take the pills in the incorrect order or take the “inactive reminder pill” instead of the active pill. Health officials say it can also cause bleeding.
