Rachel Carson Bridge Shut Down, Work Begins On Long-Term Rehab Project

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The Rachel Carson Bridge, connecting Downtown Pittsburgh to the North Shore, is now shut down for a long-term rehab project.
The span closed early Monday morning, and it will not reopen until the summer of 2020.

Crews are planning a total rehab of the bridge, similar to the one done a few years ago on the Andy Warhol Bridge.
