Police: ‘Out-Of-Control’ Suspect Shot After Charging At Officers

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — State police say a domestic disturbance suspect is in critical condition after being shot by police officers overnight in Washington County.
Police were called to a home on Bethel Ridge Road in Avella just before 12:30 a.m. for a domestic dispute.
According to police, the suspect’s mother told police her son, 20-year-old Steven Ward, was “out of control, damaging property and being physical with family members.”
