Pittsburgh Weather: Rain Moving In To Start Off The Weekend

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The day started out overcast, and now some storms and rain are expected to move in this afternoon to start the weekend.
The rain will come as a cold front surges through the area this afternoon.Ahead of the front, we have seen a low level jet form.A low level jet is a term used for strong southerly winds that develop ahead of a cold front. These winds pull in heat from the south and moisture and can rapidly destabilize the atmosphere.
