Pickup Truck Hits, Shears Utility Pole

ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A truck collided with a utility pole head-on in Elizabeth Township on Friday.The Central Volunteer Fire company of Elizabeth Township posted to Facebook saying the crash happened on Route 48 where a white pickup truck struck the pole.
Route 48 was still closed between Happy Hollow Road and Cowan Drive/Mill Hill Road Friday evening at 11 p.m. while utility crews continued to make repairs.It is unclear how the accident occurred or if anyone was injured.
