Norfolk Southern project will eliminate closed Overland Bridge between Braddock and N. Braddock

On Pittsburgh’s North Side, Norfolk Southern’s plans to change a series of bridges to accommodate double-stack rail cars has caused a public uproar from residents concerned the changes will damage a historic park, increase noise and ruin the streetscape for vehicles and pedestrians by increasing the grade approaching two bridges and putting sidewalks below street level.
