More Than 200 Workers At David L. Lawrence Convention Center Laid Off

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – More than 200 people who prepared and served meals at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center are now jobless.
The Post-Gazette reports the layoffs are permanent and go into effect Aug. 1.Levy Premium Foodservice Limited Partnership is laying off bartenders, cashiers, cooks and food service staff who work at the convention center.
Team members have been invited to reapply for jobs “when business levels return following the pandemic.”
