In rare move, Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Day parade will be dedicated to Dan Rooney

Pittsburgh will honor the late Dan Rooney at its annual St. Patrick's Day parade this year, set for 10 a.m. March 17. The Steelers chairman served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Ireland from 2009-2012 under President Barack Obama. Upon his death, President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins said Rooney was "deeply committed to Ireland and the Irish people" and "always conscious of his Irish roots."
