Horse In Lawrence Co. Put Down After Falling Into Cistern, Breaking Femur

LAWRENCE COUNTY (KDKA) — A sad ending on Friday for a horse in Lawrence County.The horse fell into a covered cistern that the horse’s owners did not know about near Frew Mill Road.(Photo Credit: Newschopper 2)
Rescue officials worked to get the horse out, but sadly, it suffered a broken femur and had to be put down.
